Many people think fraternities are shallow party hosters, and if you are a parent reading this, you may be concerned that your son may get into trouble joining a fraternity. But the Dekes of Phi Mu are not "Frat boys." We don't haze, throw big parties, or do anything dangerous. Instead, we work together to make a name for ourselves through studies and philanthropy, and we stick together in the professional world after graduation.
As a parent, you want your son to be a good student and go on to forge a successful career. DKE Phi Mu is a fraternity made by and for students with these goals. However, the skills and connections to working professionals aren't easy things for a student to develop independently, which is why our brotherhood focuses on developing creative and successful professionals ready for the workforce.
DKE offers its members tremendous leadership development programs not available to the average college or university undergraduate. Our leadership programs provide tools and opportunities for our members through campus and professional events to develop the same leadership skills that America's most well-respected corporations look for in their employees.
Joining the Greek Community will enhance your son's experience at Manhattan College by offering students on and off-campus opportunities, the chance to meet others with their professional interests, and give your son the tools they need to be a successful student.
